Hiking during the winter in the Northeast is one of the most enjoyable aspects of life in this region. Water in the form of snow and ice does change the landscape, with impressive effects on light.

The viewing experience is, IMO, much better on a computer than on a phone. If you are on a phone (smaller screen), rotate it 90 degrees to landscape mode, as most images have that aspect ratio, and the phone would enlarge the image that way.
