Flying is maybe the ultimate freedom exercise
Flying small planes is a very special experience. It means freedom, it absorbs your full attention, and it gives a different perspective. The views are almost always beautiful, regardless of how urban or barren the landscape is. The shapes, the perspective, the light, they are always a source of wonder. Even during a cloudy day, breaking above the clouds is a special experience. Crossing the Rockies over passes was a memorable experience. Flying alone from Utah to NY was a dream come true. These are a few (almost unedited) pics from some flights on both small airplanes and a helicopter. In the video below, I was lucky enough to be a passenger on a Husky, on a beautiful afternoon in the fall in the northeast.

I was a passenger for this one, so I could focus on enjoying the views and filming. The editing changes sequences and omits procedures and other relevant portions of flight.
